active driver assist
Active driver assist combines adaptive cruise control with lane centring. It regulates speed according to traffic, maintains a safe following distance, and helps keep the vehicle in its lane. In slow-moving traffic, the system can bring Renault Boreal to a complete stop and automatically set off again when conditions allow.

The speed limiter function allows the driver to set a maximum vehicle speed, helping to comply with posted speed limits.
adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go
Adaptive cruise control system automatically regulates Renault Boreal’s speed according to traffic conditions and the driver’s settings. It slows down or applies the brakes to maintain a safe distance, can bring the vehicle to a complete stop if required, and accelerates again when the road is clear.
distance warning
A front radar sensor measures the distance between Renault Boreal and the vehicle ahead. If the gap becomes too short and a collision risk is detected, an audible and visual alert is triggered.
hill start assist
Hill start assist activates on slopes greater than 3%. The brakes are held for two seconds, allowing the driver time to accelerate and reducing the risk of rolling back.
park assist
360° around view 3D camera
Four cameras provide 360° visibility around Renault Boreal, with images displayed on the openR screen to support precise and safe manoeuvres.

hands-free parking
Hands-free parking assists with parallel and perpendicular parking. Once a suitable space is detected, the system sets the vehicle’s trajectory and controls the steering, while the driver remains responsible for acceleration and braking.

Sensors analyse the vehicle’s surroundings to detect approaching vehicles, motorcyles or cyclists. If opening a door presents a danger, the system issues a warning to prevent unsafe exits.

Blind spot detection activates above 15 km/h, using indicator lights to signal vehicles in adjacent lanes.
lane departure warning
Using a camera fixed on the windscreen behind the rearview mirror, the system detects if a continuous or broken line is accidentally crossed and warns the driver.

Traffic signs are detected and the corresponding speed limits are displayed on the openR screen.
lane keeping assist
Activated from 70 km/h, the system counter steers to bring your vehicle back into its lane if it crosses a continuous or broken line without using the indicators.
automatic emergency braking system
If a collision risk is detected with pedestrians, cyclists or vehicles, the system automatically applies the brakes to bring Renault Boreal to a stop.
automatic emergency braking system junction function
When turning at a junction, the system warns of a risk of collision with oncoming vehicles. If no corrective action is taken, the brakes are automatically applied.
rear cross traffic alert
When reversing, the system detects approaching obstacles and provides alerts through the dashboard and the head-up display.
front detection with emergency trajectory correction
If a head-on collision risk is detected while changing lanes, the system alerts the driver and immediately adjusts the trajectory.
rear detection with emergency trajectory correction
If a collision risk is detected with a vehicle overtaking Renault Boreal, the system alerts the driver and immediately adjusts the trajectory.
driver attention alert
Using sensors and driving behaviour analysis, the system monitors signs of driver fatigue or inattention. If reduced alertness is detected, a warning encourages the driver to take a break.
automatic high low beam
A camera located at the top of the windscreen monitors surrounding light conditions. The system automatically switches between high and low beam headlights.
emergency stop assist
Slows the vehicle to a complete stop in the event of driver inactivity.
